CNDRA Begins Review of National Integrity Index Questionnaire

The Center for National Documents and Records Agency (CNDRA) on Thursday commenced a comprehensive review of the National Integrity Index (NII) questionnaire, as part of its efforts to strengthen transparency, accountability, and institutional performance.

The National Integrity Index (NII) is a new governance and accountability tool introduced in Liberia in April 2026 by the Governance Commission, in partnership with the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC).

The NII is designed to assess, score, and rank public institutions based on their level of integrity, transparency, accountability, and overall institutional performance.

Essentially, the NII serves as a “health check” for government institutions, helping identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas that require improvement.

The initiative seeks to:

  • Measure transparency and accountability within public institutions.
  • Promote ethical conduct and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Assess how institutions engage with and respond to citizens.
  • Identify institutional weaknesses and areas requiring reform.
  • Encourage continuous improvement in institutional performance.
  • Strengthen public trust and confidence in government institutions.

The CNDRA remains committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, transparency, accountability, and effective public service.
