CNDRA Distributes Phase Two of ITS Motorbikes to County Coordinators to Expand Archival Services
The Center for National Documents and Records Agency (CNDRA), Liberia’s National Archives, has distributed motorbikes and operational supplies to county coordinators as part of its plan to decentralize archival and civil documentation services across all 15 counties.
In the second phase of the initiative, coordinators from Lofa, River Gee, Grand Gedeh, and Maryland received motorbikes, official materials, and stationery. CNDRA said the transportation will help county staff reach remote communities, improve service delivery, and reduce the time and cost citizens face when traveling to Monrovia for documents such as marriage certificates.
CNDRA officials emphasized that the motorbikes are government assets for official use only. Recipients will sign agreements governing their use, while the Human Resources Office will maintain the agreements for accountability. Misuse or commercialization of the vehicles could result in administrative sanctions.
County representatives welcomed the support and pledged to use the motorbikes responsibly. CNDRA expects the initiative to improve county-level operations, expand access to government records and civil documentation, strengthen revenue collection, and reduce citizens’ reliance on Monrovia for services.
