Director General, Hon. D. Nelson Bearngar

Hon. D. Nelson Bearngar has extensive expertise in the field of education as a classroom teacher, historian, researcher, advocate, trainer, administrator, policy drafter, team player, and leader. 

He has made a significant contribution to the nation's young development.
He has wide experience instructing numerous young Liberians in the Monrovia Consolidated School System's secondary institutions.

Apart from his scholarly contributions to techniques of livelihood in society, he is an experienced politician who has been a long-time partizan of the Unity Party. Within the party, he has occupied a number of prominent roles, such as District Coordinator, Conty Champlain General, Deputy County Chairperson and County Chairman of the Unity Party and other key positions.

Additionally, he has years of expertise helping the actualization of the goals and objectives of regional and global non-governmental organizations. He is a devoted Christian with a family of seven children.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

The director general of the Center for National Documents and Records Agency, was born in Zuoplay Township, Gbor District, Nimba County, and graduated in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in business administration from AME Zion University, located on Benson Street in Monrovia, Liberia.

In November 2022, he obtained a Certificate in School Leadership from Edify Monrovia, Liberia and the University of San Diego School of Leadership and Education Science. He graduated with "C" certificate in teacher preparation from Monrovia Consolidated School System (MCSS) in October 2022.

Nelson received a Certificate in Teachers and Principals Training from Monrovia, Liberia, and a Certificate of Honor in 2016 for his service in the Calvary 11-2 Class.

In 2010, he received a Certificate of Completion in Fulfilling Human Rights Obligation from UNMIL/Human Rights Projection Section, and in 2007, a diploma and WAEC certificate from the United Liberia Inland Church.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Bearngar is a dedicated leader who works to improve the lives of those living in Nimba County and throughout Liberia by encouraging unity, advancing development, and empowering lot of people.

He actively participates in a number of community development initiatives that aim to enhance the standard of living for all Liberians. He's committed to improving the lives of people around him, whether it's by sponsoring educational programs or fighting for improved healthcare system.

From 2023 to present, he served as the County Chairman of the Nimba Chapter of Unity Party, overseeing operations, officials, and ensuring cooperation, organizing, planning, and executing party mandates.

Since 2023, he has been the County Unity Party Chairmen's coordinator, tasked with strategic planning, collaborating with county chairs, and representing them in national gatherings to advance the Party's agendas.

From 2017-2023, he served as Co-Chairman for Nimba Chapter and as a policy drafter for Unity Party in 2015, enhancing public perception through strategic proposals.

Since 2013, he has been the principal of Ed Mol Memorial Baptist High School in Matadi, Sinkor, managing daily operations and developing academic program strategies.

In 2009, he began teaching at Calvary Baptist Church School System in Monrovia, assisting in curriculum creation, influencing future learners, and achieving the school's vision.

In 2004, he worked as a classroom teacher at Fiamah Community School in Sinkor, Monrovia, and as a research officer at the Representative Office of District #3, Nimba County, National Legislature.
